Our Approach
MIIED gives priority to communities where the process of education and empowerment of women has been disrupted.
The Special Educational Program for Afghan girls has been created to complete the unfinished highschool curricula of Afghan girls, and to give them access to quality educational programs based on the Afghan educational system that are aligned with Australian standards.
Our programs are tailored to empower Afghan girls and women so that they have a chance of realising their basic and legitimate dreams to develop themselves both personally and academically, and contribute to their country's future.
Classes at the middle and high school levels are conducted in Pashto and Dari languages, while also building the students' capacity in international languages, especially Arabic and English.
Teaching at the Bachelor's level is done in the national languages of Afghanistan, while students complete some subjects in English or mixed language. The language of instruction in technical and vocational education courses and master's courses is English.
Most of the professors and instructors who teach at different levels of this program are selected from among qualified Afghan graduates, especially females educated inside and outside Afghanistan.
Students who register through the online process are contacted after the evaluation of their previous academic documents and certificates. The student selection process is transparent to ensure fairness.
If the interview is passed successfully, an personal application account is created which gives each student access to the system.
Students come to their classes daily, and a chat group is created between students and teachers within the system. They can also upload their homework into the system and make it available to teachers.
Educational services
Educational services currently include secondary school certificates, and some undergraduate courses. We hope to increase our range of programs to include Bachelors and Masters degrees, and vocational programs next year.
All programs are organised online using the Learning Management System (LMS) model.
The beneficiaries of these programs are divided into the following categories:
- Students who receive a full scholarship through our Special Educational Program for Afghan Girls.
- Students who receive scholarships of 25% to 75%.
- Students who pay their education fees directly or through a person or institution.
