Abdul Wahid Gulrani PhD is an Assistant Professor and young Afghan scholar. Currently, he is Visiting Professor at The George Washington University, Affiliate Scholar at Georgetown University, and Visiting Scholar at George Mason University.
Dr. Gulrani has applied over eight years of extensive research experience to peace and conflict resolution, democracy, human rights, women’s studies, terrorism and warfare, national security, specifically in the context of Afghanistan.
Dr. Gulrani is dedicated to investigating and understanding the intricate dynamics and nuanced aspects of the complex global challenges of our time. He applies his expertise in both quantitative and qualitative research methodologies, and comprehensively uses a diverse set of analytical tools to yield meaningful insights from data.
His academic journey and research endeavours contribute substantively to scholarly discourses, and effect positive change in the world by fostering peace, understanding, and human rights.
Throughout his career, Dr. Gulrani has served as a research Expert and proposal review expert for numerous national and international organizations. His accolades include several prestigious scholarships and fellowships, such as the DAAD Scholarship from Germany, the Swiss Government Excellence Scholarship for Research, and the Canadian Government Scholarship.
Currently, Dr. Gulrani is deeply involved in strategic research focusing on the U.S. withdrawal from Afghanistan and the subsequent challenges faced by Afghan women. His work aims to provide critical insights and actionable recommendations to address these pressing issues effectively.
