ABOUT
Mother International Institute of Education (MIIED)
Mother International Institute of Education (MIIED) is a cutting-edge virtual international organization, committed to empowering individuals by making quality education universally accessible. As a non-partisan institute MIIED draws no political, religious, ethnic or language lines.
MIIED’s mission is to not only restore and support the right to access education as a basic human right, but also to support the right to education in one’s native language or mother tongue. *
MIIED offers real-time classes with expert teachers and lecturers. Our classes take place in fully synchronous and semi-synchronous virtual classrooms, conducted in local regional languages.
MIIED secondary education program is in Dari and Pashto and based on the Afghan education system.
MIIED also offers mother language education programs (initially in Pashto and Farsi) for children who pursue their general education in a different language.
* The right to education in one’s mother tongue is a fundamental human right.
It is emphasized in international documents and treaties, including the Universal Declaration of Linguistic Rights, the Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples, the Convention on the Rights of the Child, and the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights.
Education in the mother tongue matters because it strengthens an individual’s cultural connection and identity with their community, aiding in the development of education and understanding of concepts among students.
The importance of preserving and promoting education in the mother tongue holds a special place in Australia, as evidenced by the approval of several international legal conventions.
