Secondary level education
For secondary education, MIIED follows the Afghanistan Education System 2021 curriculum and offers supplementary courses from year 7 to year 12. These courses are developed internally but require instructional design to help maintain a social classroom environment. With good design, a virtual classroom can not only mimic the feel of a traditional classroom but also enhance it through access to a range of digital learning assets that provide greater depth and scope.

Teaching design
There are between 13 -17 different subjects in each level of secondary school in Afghanistan's National Curriculum, and students need to pass them all in one education year. However, it would be difficult to provide all of them online at the same time. To address this, MIIED have designed a quarterly online education program in which we provide five subjects in the Fully synchronous approach during 12 weeks of courses while offering 6 -7 subjects in the Semi-synchronous approach over the same period. Students may participate with both approaches in the one quarter to cover all the different subjects.
