About Me

Mohammad Isaqzadeh is an Assistant Professor of Political Science and Peace and Justice Studies at Chapman University. His primary research focuses on the effect of armed conflicts on religiosity and how religious traditions help civilians cope with the adverse effects of war and displacement. His second line of research examines the effectiveness of international interventions to rebuild security institutions in the context of armed conflicts. His prior research has been published by the American Economic Review, the British Journal of Political Science, the Oxford University Press, and other outlets.

Before joining Chapman University, He was a post-doctoral fellow with the Weatherhead Scholars Program at Harvard University.
