Who We Are

MIIED was founded in 2022 in response to the closure of schools for Afghan girls.
It is largely run by Afghan academics in the global diaspora, including Turkey, Italy, France, Germany, UK and Australia. While many are making new lives in new countries, all remain committed to the education of girls, particularly those living under gender apartheid.
